How to read the code

The first six digits are the World Customs Organization’s Harmonized System, the same worldwide: chapter (2), heading (4), subheading (6). Digits 7 and 8 are the EU Combined Nomenclature, the one on the export declaration and in Intrastat; TARIC adds two more for specific measures.

The duty shown is the conventional (erga omnes) rate of Annex I; preferential agreements, anti-dumping duties and TARIC measures are not included. For a declaration, check the TARIC of the day.

Classifying is interpreting: the General Rules of Interpretation and the section and chapter notes prevail over the heading text. This finder gives candidates; binding classification comes from customs (BTI).

Data from Annex I of Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2025/1926 (Combined Nomenclature 2026), Publications Office of the EU, reused under Decision 2011/833/EU with the structure modified. Indicative tool: tariff classification and applicable duties are determined by customs.
