Under DAP the seller bears cost and risk until the arriving vehicle reaches the named place and the goods are at the buyer’s disposal, not unloaded. The buyer unloads, clears import and pays duties and taxes.
It is the usual choice when the seller wants to control the transport but not touch customs in the destination country. If the named place is the buyer’s warehouse, agree who pays when the truck waits hours to unload.
