Daily rest

11 hours of rest in each 24-hour period, reducible to 9 h three times between two weekly rests (Reg. 561/2006, art. 8).

The regular daily rest is 11 consecutive hours within each 24-hour period counted from the end of the previous rest. It may be taken in two parts, the first at least 3 h and the second at least 9 h. Reducing it to 9 h is allowed only three times between two weekly rests.

For the forwarder this limits when a truck can arrive: a driver who started at 6 a.m. cannot deliver at 11 p.m. without first completing the rest. Count it before promising a time to the customer.
